What is ISC2 and what is the ISC2 Canberra Chapter?

ISC2 chartered the Canberra Chapter in the Australian Capital Territory of Australia in May 2025 to provide local support for ISC2 members to achieve:

We provide regular in-person professional development and networking events to members to share learnings and build connections, as well as linking in members to broader ISC2 community supports.

Greg Wilson
President
Greg Wilson is the General Manager of Cyber Assurance at Securus Consulting Group. Greg has been in the security industry for 25 years, working in both the public and private sectors. His key focii are identifying practical security measures that help businesses achieve their goals through supporting innovation and improving security by investing time in the people delivering it.
Leszek Szychowski
Treasurer
Leszek Sychowski has worked in information technology for 30 years. He is the Managing Director of Prosecure (ACT) Pty Ltd delivering Cyber services to the Federal Government. He is an experienced cyber security architect, governance risk and compliance (GRC) specialist, and an Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessor.
Matthew Newbery
Secretary
Matthew Newbery currently works for Securus Consulting Group. He has worked in commercial software development for many years. He is a Test and Evaluation Lab Manager under ISO17025: 2017 for ICT hardware security evaluations.
Christine Williams
Membership Secretary
Christine Williams is a professional director with skills in governance, strategic planning, business development, forecasting, risk management and cybersecurity. She has been on boards for more than 35 years and has worked in C-suite roles in the private sector and Senior Executive Service (SES) roles in government.
Membership

Membership is open to both ISC2 members and non-members.

Annual membership is $150 per year for those in the workforce.

A discount membership of $75 per year is available for full-time students, unemployed persons, and retired persons.

This covers attendance, catering, and other (ISC)² event costs.
